Earline Hollingsworth Trahan

Earline Marion Hollingsworth Trahan, 78, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 in a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Trahan was born in Cameron, LA and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Marion High School. She worked her younger years as a laborer for local refineries and many years as a Teacher for the Head start Program in Goosport. Mrs. Trahan loved being on the water, fishing and crabbing. She will be most remembered for devoting her life and love to her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Kenneth Earl Trahan (Stacy) and Brenda Darlene Trahan of Lake Charles and Pamela Trahan (Matthew) of Houston, TX; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four children, Butch Trahan, Jr. and Debbie, Ronald and Karen Trahan. Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Charles Nugent will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM in Lyles Cemetery in Oberlin. Visitation Tuesday will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
