Earline M. Labit

In loving memory of Earline M. Labit, a devoted wife of 60 years, mother, grandmother, and dear friend, who peacefully passed away on October 22, 2024. She was born on February 8, 1942, in Abbeville, LA, to Lernis Miguez, Sr. and Helena Mire Miguez.

She will always be remembered for her love of cooking (especially eggrolls and elephant ears), celebrating, and spending time with her family. Her favorite pastime was spent sitting on her swing with coffee watching the butterflies and hummingbirds. She didn't like airplanes, so her idea of traveling was watching the catholic mass on tv and seeing the various places they held mass and the many different churches. She would always tell you about the places she visited. Our lives are forever changed, and she will be missed tremendously!

Those left to cherish her memory are, her son Eric Labit (Christina); her daughters Leslie Labit (Andre' Colston) and Tina Seiford (Ronald) and daughter in law Gloria Labit ; as well as her grandchildren Karynne Meyers, Jason McGee, Jonathan Seiford, Madison Labit, Zachary Labit, and Tabitha Seiford; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Ashlynn, Christian, Blake, Trey, Cameron and Easton and her great great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law and three nephews.

Earline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace J. Labit, her son, Gerald Wayne Labit, her parents, and her brother.

Her Service and Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Sunday October 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
