Earnest Raymond LeBlanc Sr., 84 passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur, LA with Dr. David Holder officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will received friends on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 2-9 p.m. and will resume on Saturday at 9 a.m. until time of service. Earnest was a longtime resident of Sulphur and worked for Continental Oil Company for 34 years until he retired in 1985. He served in the Merchant Marines and in the U S Army. He enjoyed working in his yard, spending time with his family and making birdhouses for his friends and family. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, William Bill LeBlanc and wife, Mary of Sulphur and Earnest Rocky LeBlanc and wife, Kristy of Missouri City, TX; four granddaughters, Tonya and Thelice LeBlanc of Sulphur, Kim LeBlanc of Austin, TX and Karen LeBlanc of Houston, TX; one great grandson, Brian William Mulvany of Sulphur and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, of 54 years, Margaret Brandon LeBlanc; his father, Raymond LeBlanc; his mother, Anna Marie Meche; one sister, Doris LeBlanc and one brother, Julius LeBlanc. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
