Eddie Coleman Huffstickler

Eddie Coleman Huffstickler, 79, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in a local hospital.

Born March 28, 1932, Mr. Huffstickler was raised in Charlotte, NC and served twenty-four years in the U.S. Air Force. Upon retirement, he moved to Lake Charles, LA, where he worked for Clay's Marine, Boeing, and Jerry's Marine. He loved animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Loretta Hornsby Huffstickler.

Mr. Huffstickler is survived by his two daughters, Jo Ann Conner and fiance' "Kookie" Kyle of Sulphur and Connie Sonnier of Lake Charles; sister, Mary Lou Corten of Delaware; two grandsons, Justin Doucet of Sulphur and Aaron Sonnier and wife Sylvia; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
