Edgar Allen Elliott

March 20, 1936 — May 24, 2022

Edgar Allen Elliott went home to meet this Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lee County, VA on March 20, 1938. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1961. While stationed at Chennault Air Base he met Judith Dale Elliott. They were married in 1956 and lived in Lake Charles and the surrounding areas. Edgar worked for and retired from Firestone Synthetic Rubber. He also worked part-time for Kims Radiator Service when it started up and continued with them for many years. After his retirement he decided to open Elliotts Nationwide Escort Service. Edgar enjoyed fishing, and camping. When his girls joined 4-H, he traveled all over the country with Lynn Trahan picking up hogs for the club. He and his wife got involved with the 4-H clubs, spending time working and helping their daughters get ready for and attending the shows. They would attend and chaperone most 4-H activities. He also enjoying spending time with family and friends. Edgar held lots of cookouts and barbeques with games, lots of stories and laughter. Always lots of fun.

Edgar is survived by one daughter, Nancy and husband Sherill Menard; son-in-law, Pat Valentine; brother-in-law, Ronald Trahan and wife Ann; sister-in-law, Joyce O’Connor; grandchildren, Beau and Dax Valentine; great grandchildren, Brian Solano, Mason, Azali and Chloe Guidry, Hayden Saul Menard O’Quin and Alivia Grace Menard; great-great grandchildren, Bryson Solano and Ezra Guidry; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Elliott; parents, Luther and Nancy Elliott; siblings, Nell Walker, Jean Radenze, Inez Brindley, Harry Elliott, Benny Elliott, Darrel Elliott, Belinda Jones, Wanda Brown, and Jay Elliott; daughter, Rhonda Darlene Valentine; three grandchildren, Laci Denise Guidry, Johnna Jolene Fontenot, and Zachary Saul Menard; three nieces, April and Christi Trahan; and Shannon Lee Fontenot.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 2 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Stark officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 11 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home until time of the service.
