Edgar Kennan Ramsey

Edgar K. Ramsey, 76, of Lake Charles, LA died Sunday, February 07, 2016 at Harbor Hospice Facility surrounded by his loving family.

Edgar was born on June 24, 1939 in Raphine, VA to Guy and Dura Mabel Ramsey. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. Edgar liked listening to blue grass music, watching nascar and old westerns.

Survivors include wife, Gwendolyn Ramsey; two sons, Michael Kennan Ramsey and wife Janell of Winder, GA and Jason Scott Ramsey and wife Bonnie of Lake Charles, LA; two daughters, Kimberly Anne Horner and husband Ken of Atlanta, GA and Tonya Sue Self and husband Kevin of Atlanta, GA; three stepsons, Danny LeJeune and wife Patrice of Lake Charles, LA, James Lejeune of Pradenton, FL, and Kent LeJeune of Lafayette, LA; ; one brother, James Winfred Ramsey of Raphine, VA; one sister, Faye Carol Erginbright and husband Joe of Raphine, VA; fifteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by one son, Randal Keith Ramsey; one grandson, Joshua Ramsey; his parents; and one sister, Joyce Sweet.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Livingway Pentecostal Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Livingway Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Rev. Glenn Massey will officiate services.
