Edgar R. E.R. Poole, Sr.

Edgar Raleigh "E.R." Poole, Sr., 84, went to his heavenly home, Sunday, February 20, 2011 from a local healthcare facility.

Mr. Poole lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He worked primarily as a Carpenter in the Construction Industry and retired from the Maintenance Department of Moss Regional Hospital. He was a member of the Grand Lake Faith Temple and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Mr. Poole was a very creative and skilled craftsman and a "jack of all trades".

He leaves to honor his memory, four sons and daughters- in- law, Edgar Jr. and Virgie of Lake Charles, Curtis and Margie of Palmetto, LA, Garland and Paula of Lake Charles and Larry and Joan of Columbia, TN; two daughters and sons- in- law, Charlotte and Elmer Cooley of Livingston, TX and Sharon and Toby Comeaux of Sulphur; two sisters, Murbell "Tot" Fontenot and Francis "Bea" Miller, both of Lake Charles; nineteen grandchildren; forty great- grandchildren and six great- great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty six years, Beatrice "Tee" Vincent Poole; granddaughter, Angella Park; parents, David Joseph and Ortance Logue Poole; seven brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Andrew Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in Grand Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
