Edith "Edye" Sue Taylor Trahan

March 2, 1951 — December 17, 2021

Edith “Edye” Sue Taylor Trahan, 70, of Moss Bluff passed away at 4:18 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021 in her residence.

Mrs. Trahan was born on March 2, 1951 in DeQuincy.  She lived all of her life in the Lake Charles/Moss Bluff area where she was a graduate of Sam Houston High School.  In her earlier years, she was a beautician and later owned and operated Little Rascals Daycare before working as office manager for C.R. Corley, DDS and Michael B. Williamson, DDS. Upon retirement in 2013 she traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as Canada.  She and her husband fell in love with the Cosby, TN area and lived there for four years until recently.   She was a member of Eastwood Pentecostal Church and later the Pentecostals of Sevierville, TN.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to laugh and give hugs.  Mrs. Trahan took pleasure in shopping and traveling, especially to the beach with family.  She was a loving and selfless person who always thought of others before herself, which aided in her ability to make friends while traveling.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David Lewis Trahan; son, Cory Trahan (Veronica); daughter, Dawn Williamson (Michael Williamson, DDS); grandchildren, Courtney Virrill (Mick), Jacob Daigle (Cammie), Slade Trahan, Zachary Daigle (Maygan), Noah Williamson, and Samuel Williamson; and great grandchildren, Cheyenne Virrill, Tony Virrill, and Charlotte Daigle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and H.C. Taylor; and brother, Gary Lynn Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff.  The Rev. Timothy Bowers will officiate.  Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
