Edith LeBoeuf Miller, 85, of Cameron, LA died at 10:11 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Miller was born on July 25, 1928 in Creole, LA. In her earlier years she worked at Man's Café, Cameron Café, and Bolo Shrimp House. She received a degree and worked as an aide at South Cameron Memorial Hospital for most of her working career. She will be remembered for her caring and giving personality. Mrs. Miller was always there to selflessly help when someone was sick or in need. She volunteered her time making rosaries for the church to send to soldiers overseas. Mrs. Miller also took great pride in making candy and cakes during the holidays and gave them out to everyone. Mrs. Miller enjoyed trapping and hunting alligators with her husband. She loved being outdoors mowing her lawn, gardening, and nurturing her flowers. Mrs. Miller was an extraordinary cook. No visitor ever left her home with an empty stomach. Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Elaine Thompson and Pat Saltzman and husband Seabob all of Cameron; an adopted son, Keith Rohrs of Westlake; a granddaughter, Dori Taylor of Kinder; step granddaughter, Kim LeBlanc and Steph of White Castle; step grandson, Robert (Bubba) Doxey and wife Danielle of Cameron; great granddaughter, Destiny Gaspard of Cameron; step great granddaughter, Carlee Doxey of Cameron; step great grandson, Jacob Hymel of White Castle; a brother, Norbert LeBoeuf and wife Sharon of Comfort, TX; a sister, Mary Beatrice Matherne of Georgetown, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford "T-Joe" Miller; her parents, George and Eudia Clement LeBoeuf; a brother, G.H. LeBoeuf; and a sister, Olive Bailey. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole. The Rev. Tim Goodley will officiate. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held in the church hall beginning on Thursday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue in the hall on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services in the church.
