Edna Victorian Prejean, 82, of Lacassine, LA died at 2:58 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2013 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Prejean was born March 8, 1931 in Bell City, LA, where she lived until 1977 when she moved to Lacassine, LA. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a warm hearted, joyful, and caring lady that was loved by all and will be missed dearly.
Mrs. Prejean is survived by her children, Diana Brown and husband Johnnie of Lacassine, LA, Regina Boutte and husband Floyd of Lake Charles, Sabridge Prejean and wife Yvette of Iowa, LA, Ricky Prejean and wife Pamela of Iowa, LA, Stella Vital of Lake Charles, Gerald Prejean of Lacassine, LA, and Michelle Bellard and husband Philbric Bellard, I, of Lacassine, LA; sisters, Ruth Dugas of Lacassine and Dorothy Charles of Iowa; brother, Jessie Victorian of Lake Charles; twenty-three grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Simmon Prejean; daughters, Delores Evans and Marie Celestine and her husband Jerome; parents, Batiste and Mathilda Victorian; seven brothers; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Mercedes Rios-Garcia.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow in DeRouen-Lorraine Cemetery in Hayes, LA. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM with a rosary at 9:30 AM.
