Edna Sis Dupin Douget

Mrs. Edna (Sis) Dupin Douget, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was a native and resident of Lake Charles.

Mrs. Douget was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was active in many church activities including working in the nursery and a Sunday school teacher. She was a dedicated Christian that followed the Lord. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and poetry, publishing two of her own books; but her passion in life was for her family and grandchildren. All who knew her will remember her as a loving, kind, and compassionate person.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ivy and Ella Dupin; two daughters, Janet Douget Guillory and Barbara "Dee Dee" Douget Welch; brother, Sonny Dupin and wife Mima Dupin.

Mrs. Douget is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Lee Roy Douget Sr.; two sons, Gilbert Paul Douget and wife Maritza of Moss Bluff, Lee Roy Douget Jr. and wife Carol Lee of Lake Charles; two brothers, William "Buddy" Dupin and wife Jenny, Ted Dupin and wife Kathleen all of Lake Charles; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11AM in Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Steve James will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2PM-8PM and will continue Friday at 8AM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church building fund.
