Edward Earl Hebert

Edward Earl Hebert, 69, of Sulphur, LA, died at 9:40 AM on Friday, January 29, 2021 in a local hospital.

Mr. Hebert was born November 15, 1951 in Lake Charles, LA and was a lifelong resident of the area.  He was a 1970 graduate of LaGrange High School and attended McNeese State University.  During his younger years, Mr. Hebert worked in the construction industry and as the warehouse and assistant manager of Home Furniture.  He later worked in sales at Ashley Furniture and then as a truck driver.  He was a member of Houston River Baptist Church and will be remembered for his Christian values.  He enjoyed collecting guitars and had a love for music and riding motorcycles.

Mr. Hebert is survived by is wife of eight years, Joan Moseley Hebert of Sulphur; children, Travis Hebert (Jennifer) of Lake Charles and Barbie LeJeune (Johnny) of Sulphur; step-daughters, Annette Scott of Sulphur, Jill Humphrey (Freddie) of Grand Lake, and Heather Grigsby (James) of Sulphur; sisters, Rhonda Benoit (Glenn) of Grand Lake, Ramona LeJeune (Brian) of Moss Bluff, Tammy Toups (Raymond) of Lake Charles, and Melissa Davis (Mark) of Grand Lake; nine grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Thomas Hebert and Verdie Manning Hebert.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2021 at University Baptist Church, 4505 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605.  Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
