Edward was a native of Canton, OH, lived and lived most of his life in Ragley.  He was a fan of country music and enjoyed making his own music; his younger years, playing in a band and later years playing the drums.  He loved biking, fishing, boating, camping and spending time at Sam Houston Jones State Park.  He also enjoyed barbequing and cooking big meals for family and friends.  Edward will be most remembered for his kind heart, his desire to help others and always seeing the best in everyone.  Edward dearly loved his family and could never bring himself to have a favorite, they were all immensely and equally loved.  He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father Russell LeRoy Butterfield, Jr.; aunt, Tallulah Newman and special friend, Laura Thomason.
