Edward Lopez, Jr.

Edward Francis Lopez, Jr. 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.  Edward was a veteran of the United States Navy Seabees where he served in WWII .  He was retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board in maintenance and United Gas Corporation.  Edward was also a member of the Local 106 pipefitters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lien Pham Lopez; his children, Anita Roy, Fred Lopez and Theresa Brunell; his stepchildren, Ngoc Pham and husband Hung and Xuan Thao Pham and wife, Phuong; and his grandchildren, Carrie Reid, Erin Reid, Lyna Pham, Henry Pham, Ricky Pham, Sarah Pham and Kenneth Pham.   Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward, Sr. and Nola Prince Lopez and one son, Don Lopez. 

A Buddhist service for Edward will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 2 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur.  Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines South.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 5-9 pm at the funeral home and on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 9 am until the time of service.
