Edward Presley Belaire

Edward Presley Belaire, 75, died Tuesday April 12, 2011 in a local hospital.

Born in Abbeville, Louisiana, to Presley Edward and Beatrice LeBlanc Belaire, Mr. Belaire lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was a 1954 graduate of LaGrange High School and worked as a warehouseman for PPG Industries prior to retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by four daughters, Karen Ann Miller and husband Jody of Sevierville, Tennessee, Suzanne Mallett of Lacassine, Marie Bennett and husband Gary of Austin, Texas, and Mona Kay Hastings and husband Dan of Lake Charles; daughter-in-law, Melissa Belaire, Westlake; mother of his children, Lois Leblanc Belaire; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kenneth Edward Belaire.

Edward's family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Syed, Dr. Mark LaFuria, the staff of Grand Cove Rehabilitation Center and Odyssey Hopsice for the compassionate care given him during his illness.

No visitation or services are planned. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
