Edward W. Simon, Jr.

Edward J. Simon, Jr. 91, of Lake Charles passed away at 12:50 PM, Saturday, October 6, 2012 in a local care facility.

He was a native of New Orleans and lived in Opelousas and Lafayette for many years prior to moving to Lake Charles in 1988. Mr. Simon graduated from Warren Easton High School in New Orleans and attended Tulane University. He retired from Bell Telephone Co. after over forty-three years of service.

He is survived by his daughter Susan Mayne and husband Charlie of New Orleans and three grandchildren, Tommy, Robby, and Stephanie. Mr. Simon was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline Simon.

His funeral will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church. Reverend Charles Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church.
