Edwin Leo Tate, infant son of Jason and Katy (Schultz) Tate of Bell City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 27, 2025 in a Baton Rouge Hospital surrounded by his family.
Edwin Leo’s short time on earth was filled with Love, Faith and Blessings. Leo was truly loved from the womb to his natural end.
He leaves to honor his memory his parents, of Bell City; siblings,. Jacob Tate , Ella Rentrop, Cade Tate, Tucker Tate and Heman Tate, all of Bell City; maternal grandparents, Doug and Sheila Rahbany Schultz; paternal grandparents, Ted and Charlotte Grimmett Tate; maternal great grandmother, Shirley Comeaux Rahbany as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family of the heart. Preceding Edwin Leo in death are great grandparents, Raji Rahbany; Charles and Jerry Trumps Schultz; Edwin “Red” and Ann Trouille Tate and Charlie and Veneita Ryder Grimmett.
Visitation will be from Noon until 12:30 PM on Wednesday April 2, 2025 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City with a Rosary to be recited at 12:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 1:00 PM with Rev. Father Alan Trouille serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Derouen-Lorriane Cemetery.
