Edwina Dennis

Edwina Mildred Aguillard Dennis, 88, of Lake Charles, LA died at 11:35 AM on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Dennis was born July 25, 1924 in Eunice, LA and lived in Lake Charles for most of her life. She worked as a supervisor for the clothing chain, Kenwin Dress Shop, for some thirty years. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. Mrs. Dennis enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her yard. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Dennis is survived by her sons, John Dennis and wife Sharon of Nacogdoches, TX and Michael Dennis and wife Donna of Spring, TX; daughters, Peggy Morgan and husband Bobby of Lake Charles, Carole Shull and husband Philip of Columbia, SC, and Barbara Guillory and husband Kenneth "Mickey" of Moss Bluff; sister, Neva Bennett and husband Bill of Powder Springs, GA; eleven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and her cat, Sheba.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dennis; brothers, Jack Aguillard and Paul Aguillard; and a grandchild, Tony Guillory.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
