Elaina Danielle Huntington Koss

Elaina Danielle Huntington Koss, 48, of Lake Charles passed away at 4:01 AM on Sunday, May 29, 2022 in her residence.

Elaina was born on December 17, 1973 in Heidelberg, Germany.  She was raised in Deridder where she was a graduate of Deridder High School.  Elaina furthered her education at McNeese State University where she received a degree in sociology.  She was a past member of Grace Church in Deridder and currently belonged to Trinity Baptist Church. 

Elaina and her husband were very involved in Celebrate Recovery where they were ministry leaders.  They also participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s annually.  Elaina was a woman of encouraging words, always having positive outlooks on things.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roger Koss of Lake Charles; children, Samuel Orion Koss of Lake Charles and Travis Autrey Koss of Many, LA; siblings, Terri Price (Michael) of Lake Charles, Allen Huntington (Linda) of Corpus Christi, TX, and Roxanne Thurman (Jason) of Austin, TX; mother-in-law, Angela Gaye Johnson (Bill) of Florien; sister in law, Brittany Taylor Dickerson (Bryan) of Broussard, LA; and her beloved furry companion, Solomon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Bobby Huntington.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  The Rev. George Lee Glass will officiate.  A gathering will begin at 2:00 PM until the start of the service.
