Elaine Desormeaux

Mary “Elaine” Desormeaux, 78, of Sulphur, LA passed away on June 14, 2107 at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Elaine was born on July 19, 1938 in Church Point, LA and was a graduate of Vinton High School. She retired from Flooring and Design Co. in Sulphur as a bookkeeper. Ms. Desormeaux’s most cherished times were spent with her family.

Elaine is survived by her children, Randy Desormeaux of Lake Charles, Tammy McCaughey and husband Brett, and Susan Courmier of Sulphur along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery Red Richard and Felma Lou Prejean Richard; and her brother, J.T. Richard.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a cancer organization of your choice.
