Eldrine Marie Campbell

Eldrine M. Campbell, 78, of Lake Charles passed away at 7:23 AM, Thursday, May 23, 2013 in a local hospital.

She was born in Elton and raised in Jennings, graduating from Jennings High School. Mrs. Campbell lived in Oberlin for many years and retired from the LSU Cooperative Extension Service in Allen Parish. After retirement she worked for her cousin at the Frank Granger Law Firm. She and her husband lived in Lake Charles since 1986.

Survivors include three daughters: Diane Ethridge and husband Mark, Cheryl Campbell, and Shawn Chamblee and husband Brent; three grandchildren, Kevin Ethridge and wife Darci, Kaylon Hopkins and husband Dustin, and Leighton Chamblee; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Clinton Sonier and wife Debbie, Chester Sonnier and wife Jean; four sisters, Esther Sonnier, Mildred Bourgeois, Claudia Haupt, and Ruth Goodwin and husband Darrell and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald I. Campbell; parent's Aduis and Lorise (Granger) Sonier and her sister Louella Black.

Her Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Reverend Scott DesOrmeaux will officiate. Burial will be in Consolota Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
