Elender Lecompte

Elender Hollier LeCompte, 69, of Lake Charles went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Mrs. LeCompte was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She attended Washington High School and Sowela Technical College. She retired from Isle of Capri Casino after 18 years of service. Mrs. LeCompte was preceded in death by her parents, George Hollier and Florence Duhon Hollier, both of Lake Charles, and husbands, David Eggins and Delton LeCompte. Surviving Mrs. LeCompte are her son, David Wayne Eggins and partner Marie Chenier of Lake Charles; sisters, Edith Higgins Guillory and Elaine LeDay and husband Curtis, both of Lake Charles. She also is survived by two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitaton for Mrs. LeCompte will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. The Most Reverend Marcus Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
