Elise Mccrary Veal

November 5, 1941 — October 18, 2020

Elise Veal,78, of Sulphur passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, in a New Orleans Hospital.

Elise was a member of Victory Worship Center in Sulphur. She adored her family and spending time with her siblings; but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and she loved spoiling them. She enjoyed her plants and loved watching the birds in her yard, especially Cardinals. Elise played cards weekly with a special group of friends and they often traveled together; traveling was Elise’s favorite hobby.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Rick Veal and wife Stacey of Pearland, TX,  Michele Blessing of Navarre, FL, and Melinda Campbell and husband Lindsey, Jr. of Carlyss; sister, Donna Addison of Lake Charles,  2 brothers, George Vise, Jr.  and Gene Vise both of Sulphur; grandchildren, Joshua Paul Richard and wife Lane of Moss Bluff, Derek Scott Richard of Orange, TX, Abigail Elise Veal of Pearland, Jacklynn Renee Campbell of Carlyss, and Tyler Matthew Campbell of Dallas, TX;  great grandchildren Oliver Paul Richard, Eleanor Rae Richard, Daniel Smith Richard and Penelope Song Richard. She will also be dearly missed by her best friend and “travel buddy”, Mary Faye Leblanc.

Elise was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Paul Lee Veal; son, John Veal; and her parents, Elise and George Vise, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held 11am, Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Johnson & Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. Rev. Larry LaFleur will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.  Visitation will be held 5 – 8 pm. Friday and resume Saturday, 9 am until time of service at 11a.m.
