Elizabeth Anne Sneddon, 61, of Lake Charles, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Anne was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on April 9, 1954. Her early life was in Stirling, Denny and Kilsyth, Scotland. She moved to the United States in 1981 to Las Cruces, New Mexico, then to Ontario and Lake Arrowhead in California then to Nashua, New Hampshire before her moving to Lake Charles in 1992. She obtained a B.A. in Business Administration in 1981 from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland but was primarily a homemaker to her five children and three grandchildren. She enjoyed spending vacations in her home away from home, Walt Disney World. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of almost 40 years, Joseph. She is survived by son David and Petra Sneddon of St Charles, Illinois, daughter Karen Sneddon and Matthew Silverman and granddaughter Isabel Sneddon of Forsyth, Georgia, son Steven and Mary Sneddon of Lake Charles, daughter Amanda and Jeremy Tarkington and grandchildren Elizabeth and Andrew Tarkington of Lake Charles, and son Erik and Charlotte Sneddon of Lake Charles. In accordance with her wishes, Elizabeth's remains will be cremated with no formal visitation or memorial service planned at this time. The family wishes to acknowledge their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Heart of Hospice for their compassionate assistance at this difficult time.
