Elizabeth Elaine Ezell Johnston, 55, of Vinton, passed away Tuesday June 21, 2016 in New Haven, Michigan of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Liz was a native of Baton Rouge and currently resided in Vinton with her husband, Ed. Elizabeth had taken on many trades in her life from being a hair stylist, truck driver, to working alongside her husband doing construction work. She and her husband shared a special bond and they were celebrating his retirement with a cruise around the country on their Harley-Davidson.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, James William Ezell, Jr. and Eve Anderson Carver, and sister, Jacqueline Sabrina Ezell Westberry. She leaves to honor and cherish her memories, her beloved husband, Edward D. “Ed” Johnston, Vinton; sons, James Donald Barron, Boston, MA, and Shelby Clifford Kovatch, Baton Rouge; sister, Pamela Ezell Lewis and husband Maben, Vero Beach, FL; brother James William Ezell III and wife Pat, Orange, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
As to her wishes, Elizabeth’s remains were cremated. A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday July 23, 2016 with Steve Starks officiating at the American Legion Hall, Lloyd Grubbs Post 49, 108 Green Ave., Orange, TX, 77630.
