Elizabeth H. Harris

Elizabeth Harris, 70, of Lake Charles died at 12:59 PM on Thursday, November 11, 2010 in her residence.

Mrs. Harris was born in Lake Charles, LA on October 10, 1940 and lived the majority of her life in Borger, TX. She returned to Lake Charles in 1994. She attended LaGrange High School. Mrs. Harris retired from Borger Water Division in Texas after many years of service. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed working in her yard. She had a love for animals.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Roy Harris of Lake Charles; one son, Randy McDonald and wife Laura of Lake Charles; one daughter, Ellen Montie and husband Mark of Kirbyville, TX; a sister, Shelia Thomlinson of Wyoming; a brother, Herman Jessen of Connecticut; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Barclay and two sons, Richard and Raymond McDonald.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of services.
