Elizabeth Linam

Elizabeth Ann Morris Linam, 91, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 2:51 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in a local hospital.

 

Mrs. Linam was born December 23, 1926 in Texarkana, TX, where she was raised. She lived a number of years in Algiers / Gretna and eight years in Singapore before calling Lake Charles home in 2002. Mrs. Linam worked as a secretary for Halliburton, the IRS, the Union Parish Police Jury and Calcasieu Marine National Bank. She was also the owner / operator of Crown Advertising Specialties in Gretna, LA. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake Charles. She had a great passion for her children and her grandchildren and loved to travel the world. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

 

Mrs. Linam is survived by her husband of seventy-one years, Richard Harrison Linam; daughter, Susan Linam Doyle and partner Lisa Landry of Lake Charles; son, Michael Ray Linam and wife Marla, of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Sean Broussard, Harrison Doyle, Richard Linam, Alicia Linam, and Nate Landry; two great-grandchildren, Andraleiah and Averi Elizabeth; along with numerous other family members and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Morris, Sr. and Willie Lee Morris; sister, Virginia Jo Hartshorn; and brothers, Thomas Morris, Jr. and Robert Morris.

 

Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Johnny Dammon will officiate. A gathering of family members and friends will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
