Ella Idella Miller, 92, of Ragley, LA was redeemed on Resurrection Morning, April 24, 2011 at 8:10 AM in a local care facility.
Born September 17, 1918 in Abbeville, LA, Ms. Miller lived most of her life in Kaplan, LA. She also lived in DeRidder for twelve years, before moving to Ragley with her daughter. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and will be remembered as an excellent pianist and musician. She loved to grow flowers and cook for her family.
Ms. Miller is survived by her daughter, Charlene Wren Brown of Ragley, LA; two sisters, Midge McGrath of Abbeville, LA and Delores "Tootie" Gauthreaux of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Moneen Fontenot and husband Tim, Tammy Pinder and husband Charles, Clay Brown, Michelle Craft and husband Rev. Kelly Craft, and Jonathan LeMaire; fourteen great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tommie Dell LeMaire; parents, Walter Warren and Louise Broussard Miller; two brothers; and two sisters.
Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Ragley. Reverends Kelly Craft and Mike Sanford will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71211 or the Magnolia Baptist Church Building Fund.
