Ella Jo Hymel

Ella Jo Hymel, 64, passed away in a local hospital on June 15, 2018.

She was born in Lake Charles, LA to Marjorie and Roy Milton, Sr. on July 16, 1953.

She had a quiet and sweet disposition and was always available to help anyone at any time. She will be remembered as an excellent cook. She will also be remembered for her devotion to her Christian faith and to Trinity Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Hymel; son, Rocky Hymel; grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexis, and Benjamin; sisters, Linda Moreno and Pat Schooler (Jim); aunts, Florence Roy and Betty Roy; sister-in-law, Debbie Sockrider Roy; brother-in-law, Johnny Ardoin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Philip Roy; and sister, Susan Ardoin.

Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until 11 AM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 AM. Pastor Steve James will officiate.
