Ellia Mae "Ms. Tee" Gaunt

Ellia Mae Gaunt, 74, of Lake Charles passed away at 9:37 AM on Friday, July 31, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Gaunt was born on August 22, 1945 in Jennings, LA to Stanley and Marie Landry Vidrine.  She was a lifelong resident of the Lake Charles area. She graduated from Fenton High School.  She enjoyed bingo, and video poker.  She was a long-time bartender, and was affectionately known as “Ms. Tee.”  Most importantly, she loved her grandchildren, and treasured the time spent with them.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Roger Dale Moses of Ragley, LA, Shannon James Moses (Michelle) of Houston, TX, and Melissa Savoy (Johnny) of LeBleu Settlement; brothers, David Vidrine, and Daniel Vidrine; grandchildren, Chris Moses, Samantha Savoy, Carley Ungerecht (David), Johnathon Savoy, and Emily Moses; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Moses, Jaxxon Savoy, and Cooper Ungerecht.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Gaunt, her parents, and her brother, Larry Vidrine, Sr. “Rabbit.”

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
