Ellister Marie Manuel

Mrs. Ellister Marie Manuel, 85, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011. She was a resident of Lake Charles and very strong in her catholic faith.

Mrs. Manuel is survived by four children, Harold W. Manuel and wife Janelle of Moss Bluff, Gerald J. Manuel of Moss Bluff, Gwen Smith and husband Rob Smith of Moss Bluff, Ricky Manuel of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Joyce Reed of Lake Charles and Mercy Fontenot of Mamou; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Houston Manuel; son, Larry Lee Manuel; grandchildren, Neal Manuel and Jennifer Manuel; great grandson, Daniel Broussard.

Funeral Mass for Mrs. Manuel will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 10:00AM in St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be held in Johnson Funeral Home Tuesday from 2PM-8PM with a rosary at 6PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8AM until time of service.
