Elsie Carlisle

Elsie Carlisle, 92, of Lake Charles died at 4:18 PM on Monday, September 27, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Carlisle was born on December 30, 1917 in Dry Creek, LA and lived in Lake Charles for the past 50 years. She retired after 35 years from TGY Department Store as a cashier. Following retirement, she was a care giver for the elderly for 10 years.

She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church. Mrs. Carlisle was the core of her family as well as very supportive. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family.

Survivors include a son, Robbie Lee Carlisle of Lake Charles; a sister, Jewel Stanley of Lake Charles; eleven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Carlisle; two daughters, LouBee Wilson and Ruby Jean Cormier; and six siblings.

Funeral services and burial were private.
