Emma Lee Clement Miller

Emma Lee Clement Miller, 69, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in a Shreveport hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born, raised and educated in Creole, LA and was a graduate of South Cameron High School. She lived most of her life in Cameron and has lived the past twenty years in Lake Charles. During that time she worked as a Lead in Dietary Nutritional Services for Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Miller enjoyed cooking, especially for family, friends and gatherings of most any occasion. She was an avid animal lover, as she had a variety that she found great joy in caring for. Her little dog, Duke James Miller, brought a smile to her face each morning as they started a new day.

She will be most remembered as a strong, wise woman, with an overwhelming love of her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Roger D. Miller and wife Kim and Kevin A. Miller, all of Cameron; two daughters, Cheryl Miller Fullington and husband Steve of Lake Charles and Jennifer A. Clement of Cameron; six grandchildren, Melissa Derouen, Rodney D. Miller, Terry Miller, Jr., Jeremy Miller, Crissy Reddin and Dillon Miller; six great- grandchildren; two brothers, John David Clement, Sr. of Lake Charles and Thomas "Poochie" Clement of Creole; one sister, Cindy Clement Gatlin of Sulphur and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry D. Miller and Orlanda J. Miller; her parents, John David Clement, Sr. and Eve Hulton Clement; one sister, Betty Jean Clement and one brother, Dean Davis.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jerry Snider will officiate. Interment will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation Friday will be from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
