Emma Agnes Luttgeharm, 78, of Lake Charles, Louisiana died peacefully in her residence at 1:00 AM Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Emma was born July 3, 1935 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Otto and Ura Mae Luttgeharm. She loved talking to everyone about the love of Christ and to know Christ. For 50 years she crocheted baby blankets for expecting mothers wherever she had seen a person in need. She was known for helping anyone in need and helping her churchs Sale Street Baptist Church and Glad Tidings Church. She was a Pink lady at St. Patricks Hospital. Ms. Emma worked for Bellsouth for 30 Years and was the first woman Supervising Engineer. She sang in the Messianic Choir for 20 years. She is survived by her best friend and sister in Christ, Ms. Ruby Derouen; one brother, Max and wife Joann Luttgeharm; two nephews, Clint and Troy Luttgeharm; and three great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until time of service Thursday, February 6, 2014. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Pastor Gary Evers will officiate services.
