Enell Nash

Enell Nash, 89, passed away in her residence on Sunday, August 1, 2021.

She was born on January 2, 1932 in Lake Charles, LA to Raymond and Telise Gaspard.

Words fail to describe this Godly, gentle, lovely, kind, prayer warrior we call “Mom.”

She was our angel unaware, selfless, easily hurt, but never angry, with a generosity of spirit that just never stopped giving. She fought battles for those she loved, but always from her knees. Her weapons weren’t earthly, but heavenly and only God knows how incredibly strong this precious holy child of his was. Death cannot extinguish the light of her eternal love.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Dale Nash (Phyllis), Dwight Nash (Bonita), Reggie Nash (Peggie), Deborah Nash Dupre, and Telisa Nash Heard (Wayne “Ferren”); 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Nash, Jr.; sons, Corliss Nash, and Harold “Pete” Nash; and grandchildren, Clint, Josh, and Stephanie.

Her funeral service will be held at Apostolic Temple on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. Rev. Rick Treece will officiate. Burial will take place in Consolata Cemetery following the service. Visitation will take place at the church from 11 a.m. until the beginning of the funeral service.
