Enez Vicknair Aldret, 91, of Lake Charles died at 5:00 AM on Sunday, May 01, 2011 in a local care facility.
Mrs. Aldret was born in Lions, LA on July 27, 1919 and lived the majority of her life in Alexandria before moving to Lake Charles 8 years ago to be with her son and his family. She was an avid football fan. Her love for her family and football was shown by her following her son's high school and collegiate football career and continued with his coaching career for 45 years.
Enez was known for her love and compassion for her friends and fellow residents at Villa Maria and Grand Cove. Her wonderful disposition and sense of humor delighted all of her friends here in Lake Charles.
Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter-in-law, Debbie Vicknair of Lake Charles; three grandsons, Charles "Vic", Chad, and Cody Vicknair all of Lake Charles; a granddaughter, Laurie Burk of Italy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Aldret; a son, Charles Vicknair; and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. T. L. Herlong will officiate. A graveside service will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Pineville, LA on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the start of the service.
