Edward Ernest Parker, 78, of Sulphur, passed away on May 27, 2012. He was met at the gates of heaven by his parents, Edward Lee and Flora Mae Koonce Parker. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 3 pm at Robison Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Gothrup officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 pm on Wednesday. Ernest was born on March 20, 1934 in Westlake, Louisiana. He was a lifelong resident of Sulphur and was a truck driver for Carr Truck Service. He then worked as a driller in the oil field for many years. Later he owned Parker Dirt Construction. As well as being a hard worker, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a charter member of Houston River Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Agnes Parker of Sulphur, LA; sons: Johnny Ryder and wife Linda of Lake Jackson, TX, Ernest Lee Parker of Sulphur, LA, Bobby Parker and wife Susan of Eunice, LA, and Freety Parker and wife Bonni of Sulphur, LA; daughters: Lynn Ryder of Eunice, LA, Wanda Parker of Sulphur, LA, Stephanie LeDoux and husband David of Sulphur, LA, and Brittney Parker of Sulphur, LA; brothers: Arthur Parker and wife Alice of Sulphur, LA, Johnny Parker and wife Sylvia of Sulphur, LA, and Vernon Parker and wife Pam of Sulphur, LA; sisters: Dorsey Beech and husband Bob of Jena, LA and Janelle Bates of Sulphur, LA; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Ernest was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Dianna Nedd and Linda Holland.
