Ester Louise Grueber

Esther Louise Grueber, 95, of Lake Charles died at 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Grueber was born on November 4, 1916 in New Ulm, TX. She lived her life in Corpus Christi before moving to Lake Charles five years ago. Mrs. Grueber graduated from high school in Alice, TX and attended Texas Lutheran University. She was Vice President of Citizens State Bank

Those left to cherish her memory is a son, Roy Grueber and wife Pam of Lake Charles; one sister, Judith Gohmert of Alice, TX; two grandchildren, Eric and Chad Grueber; and two great grandchildren, Adam, Alyssa Grueber both of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelm and Erna Schuette; her husband, Robert Grueber; and a brother, Raymond Schuette.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Miller will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until the start of the service in the church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Alice Cemetery in Alice, TX.
