Ethan Joseph Habetz, 20, of Longville, LA passed away Thursday, May 04, 2017.
Ethan lived most of his life in Longville, LA. He was a graduate of South Beauregard High School, attended McNeese State University and was currently working as a driver for Domino’s Pizza. Ethan enjoyed reading, basketball, computer games and most importantly, music. He also enjoyed playing a variety of Saxophone instruments. Ethan was a member of Boy Scout Troop # 125 for many years. He was a young man with a real soft spot for helping people and animals in a time of need. He will be most remembered for his kind, giving and loving heart, his positive spirit and his ability to make those around him smile. His latest portrayal being his plan to begin training as a Fire Fighter. Even in passing Ethan thought about helping others in need as he was a registered donor. Ethan was of Catholic Faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Matthew Joseph “Marty” Habetz and Annette Guillory Habetz of Longville; one sister, Caroline Jeanne Habetz of Longville; paternal grandfather, Bernard Joseph Habetz of LeBleu Settlement; maternal grandmother, Sandra Broussard Guillory of Lake Charles; four uncles, Chris Habetz and wife Tricia of LeBleu Settlement, Keith Habetz and wife Kelli of Sulphur, Nick Habetz and wife Nicole of Lake Charles and Chris Guillory and wife Nedra of Sulphur; one aunt, Pamela Espey and husband Keith of Ragley; many cousins, Clintin Habetz (Courtney), Garrett Habetz (Allie), Anna Espey (Forrest), Tanner Habetz, Hayden Habetz, Lani Habetz, Brooks Habetz, Grant Habetz, Maris Habetz, Gunner Habetz, Cole Chapman, Coy Habetz, Carter Lebaron, Megan Bourque (Thomas) and Hunter Guillory (Peyton). He also leaves his girlfriend, Ashley Gardner and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Habetz.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Father Tim Goodly will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Visitation Tuesday will be from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:30 PM. Visitation Wednesday will be from 8:00 AM until 10:00AM in the funeral home.
