Ethel Marie White

 Ethel Marie White, 88, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Joseph Floyd and Annie Ellender on February 6, 1932 in Sulphur.

She was a nurse and retired from West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital after 30 years of service. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and working in her yard, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Clyde  White and his wife Gatha, and Wade White and his wife Brenda; grandchildren, Christine White Burney, Brion White,  Ryan  White, and Brittany Myers Sonnier; great grandchildren, Natasha White Brooks, Destiny Bruney Vincent, Sean White, Chasity White, Evoulette Sonnier, Braxton Theunissen, Aubrey Sonnier, Zachery Sonnier, II; great-great grandchildren, Nevaeh  White,  Aurora White, C.J. Brooks, Ke’lyon brooks, LaRaiha Brooks, and Anastasia White.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William M. “Jake” White; her parents, Joseph and Annie Ellender; and siblings, Arthur J. “Jake” Ellender, Jewel Ellender Kressman, and Floyd Lee “Buck” Ellender.

Funeral Services of Ethel will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. Rev. James Kressman will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.  Visitation will be Tuesday, 10 AM until time of service at 2 PM.

Pallbearers are Ryan White, Zachery Sonnier, Wayne White, Valery Deshotel, Charles Brooks, and Brion White. Honorary pallbearer will be David Kressman.
