Etta Fruge Carlin, 85, went to meet her heavenly reward on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Bertrand officiating. Burial will be held in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 2-9 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Friday at 9 a.m. until time of service. Etta was a native of Iota and longtime Sulphur resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Fellowship in Sulphur. Her family was her life. Etta was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved attending church, playing her guitar and singing. Etta is survived by her three daughters, Ronella Fontenot and husband, James; Roxanna LeDoux and husband, Thomas, Sr., and Trudy Bertrand and husband, Harry James all of Sulphur; son, Dennis P. Carlin III of Sulphur; and sister, Annie Guidry of Sulphur; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis P. Carlin, Jr.; daughter, Janice Hartstine; three grandchildren, Timothy Boudreaux , Shelia Boudreaux and Walter Boudreaux.
