Eugene J. Gene Wicks

Eugene Julius Wicks, 73, of Lake Charles passed away, Sunday, December 26, 2010 in a local care facility.

He was a native and life resident of the Lake Charles area. Mr. Wicks retired as an operator for CITGO Refinery after thirty years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Delores DeRouen Wicks of Lake Charles; three sons, Michael J. Wicks and wife Vickie of Lake Charles; Steven E. Wicks and wife Kristi of Houston, TX, and Christopher A. Wicks of Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Michael Donovan Wicks of Lake Charles and Kara and William Wicks of Houston, TX; one brother, Dan Wicks and wife Jan of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Max and Pauline (Kowalski) Wicks.

His funeral will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kirk Ellender will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, and continue from 9:00 AM until time of service Wednesday in the funeral home.
