Eugene Roy Vincent

Eugene R. Vincent, 92 of Carlyss passed away September 13, 2012 in the DeQuincy Care Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nay Vickers officiating. Burial will be at Farquar Cemetery under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 4-9 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home until time of service. Eugene was a native and life-long resident of Carlyss. He worked as a supervisor for Citgo for many years until retiring. Eugene was a Veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion. Eugene is survived by his wife, Opal Vincent of Lake Charles; son, Richard Vincent of Florida; daughter, Barbara Sorant and husband, Peter of Slidell, LA; four step daughters, Mary O. Soileau, Theresa O. Cox, Arlene Ogea and Shirley O. Cox and husband, Don all of Lake Charles; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Desmona Elliott (Teta) Vincent; 2 sons, Robert and Michael Vincent; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
