Eula Mae Guidry Menard

Eula Mae Thibodeaux Guidry Menard, 85, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in the comfort of her home.  Mae was born in Church Point, LA to Arnold and Dora Thibodeaux.  She married her first husband, Harvey P Guidry in 1950 and had 9 children.  She married her second husband, Chester Menard in 2000.  Mae was sweet, gentle and humble.  She would help, feed or take in anyone with need.  Everyone’s favorite meal was her chicken and rice.  Mae was a faithful member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church.  She had a holy hour at the adoration chapel for many years until she could no longer attend.  Mae loved to read, dance and she also loved flowers and plants.   She was adored by everyone that knew her and her absence will forever be present in our hearts.

Mae leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Chester Menard; her children, Deborah (Bob) Gould, Dora (Glenn) Vige, Sandra Hall and Karen Guidry of Sulphur, Kristina (Jud) Corkern of Zachary, LA; stepdaughter, Diane (Bobby) Clark of Moss Bluff; daughter in law, Cynthia Guidry; son in law, Marlin Terro; brother, Eltee Thibodeaux; sister, Linda Thibodeaux; sister in law, Joyce Richards; and brother in law, Terry Vincent.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey P. Guidry; two sons, Donald Guidry and Michael Guidry; two daughters, Cynthia Guidry and Melissa Ann Terro; and her parents, Arnold and Dora Thibodeaux. 

Services for Mae will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 2 PM at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church with Father Andrews Kollannoor officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 9 AM until time to leave for the church.  A rosary will be recited at 1 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbears will be her grandsons, Jarrett Gould, Joshua Guidry, Luke Terro, Lance Terro, Zeb Corkern and Dylan Quebodeaux.
