Eunice Fontenot

Eunice Fontenot, 84, of Lake Charles, LA died at 10:03 AM on Monday, February 4, 2013 in her residence.

Mrs. Fontenot was born August 15, 1928 in Lake Charles, LA, where she has lived all of her life. She worked as a nurse's aide at St. Patrick's hospital and later as an OB Technician at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She was a member of Lake Charles Bible Church. Mrs. Fontenot enjoyed cross stiching, cooking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will always be remembered as devoted wife and loving mother who always had a smile.

Mrs. Fontenot is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, Coolidge Fontenot; son, Danny Fontenot of Westlake; daughter, Cindy Ardoin and husband J. of Moss Bluff; best friends, Paul and Avis Musgrove of Sulphur; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Phil Fontenot; parents, Joseph and Clorise Fontenot; two brothers; and two sisters.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brothers Phil Carpenter and Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
