Eva Mae Florence Fusilier Klumpp

Eva Mae Florence Fusilier Klumpp, 89, of Lake Charles passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in an assisted living facility in Spring, TX.

 

Mrs. Klumpp was born on February 24, 1928 in Sweetlake, LA where she was a graduate of Sweetlake High School. She furthered her education at Sam Houston State University receiving an associate’s degree. She married Lee Walding and raised her family in Texas. Mrs. Klumpp later moved to Basile and married Paul Klumpp before moving to Lake Charles more than 14 years ago. In her later years she moved back to Texas to be near her children and grandchildren, who she adored and spent an abundant amount of time with.

 

She spent her working years in the Conroe Independent School District. Mrs. Klumpp was raised in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sweetlake, attended Christ the King Catholic Church in Lake Charles, and attended Southside Baptist Church in Texas. She enjoyed traveling with her sister and tending to her fruit trees in her yard.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Pam Hardy (Mike) of Magnolia, TX and Ray Walding (Lisa) of Conroe, TX; a sister, Betty Chaisson of Plano, TX; three grandchildren, Gregory McCleland Rice, Clinton Lee Walding (Melanie), and Kelly Lauren Urban (Ryan); one great grandson, Sawyer Joseph Shaban; and a very special nephew and niece, Larry Chaisson and Shari Lynn Cormier.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Klumpp and her parents, Eva and Raymond Fusilier.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot will officiate. Burial will follow in Bertrand Cemetery in Hathaway. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary being recited at 12:30 PM.
