Sue Meche, 68, of Lake Charles, LA, died on September 1, 2015 following an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and retired from Kroger's. She will be remembered mostly as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michelle "Shelley" Meche Lavergne and husband Michael Lavergne; son, Jeff Meche and wife Angie Meche; daughter, Shana Meche Eastwood and husband Milford Eastwood, Jr.; brother, Phillip Young and wife Emma Young of Lake Charles; sisters-in-law, Christine Manuel Young of Lake Charles and Gloria Young Helmstetter of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Trey Lavergne and wife Jessa Lavergne, Trevor Lavergne, Alayna Lavergne, Joshua Meche and wife Karlye Meche, Jeremy Meche, Jonathan Meche, Brittney Meche Baltera and husband Andrew Baltera, Kayla Eastwood and Milford Eastwood, III; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Baltera, Kaylee Baltera, Logan Cazalot and Aria James Meche. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Young, Jr. and Eliza Higginbotham Young; brothers, John Arthur Young, Herbert Tony Young, and Aldon J. Young; sister, Mary Young David; and great-granddaughter, Anna Gabriel Lavergne. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Doyle Evans will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
