Evans Theodore Rabalais, 87, of Beaumont, Texas died on Thursday, July 3, 2014 in a Beaumont area hospital. Mr. Rabalais was born on March 2, 1927 in Hessmer, Louisiana. He graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1944. He also graduated from the University of Loyola with a doctorate in Pharmacy. Mr. Rabalais lived in Lake Charles for most of his life. He worked for the State of Louisiana as a Pharmacist for over 25 years. He was an avid LSU and Saints football fan, and loved art, photography, and jazz music. Mr. Rabalais is survived by one son, John Rabalais and his wife Laurie of Crystal Beach, TX, one brother, Joseph Rabalais and his wife Marie of Lake Charles, LA, three granddaughters, and two great granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents, Verdie and Melo Rabalais, two sons, Michael and Robert Rabalais. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Shirley will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday at 11:00 AM until the time of service.
