Evelyn Hall

Evelyn Hall, 88, of Lake Charles, passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday, March 25, 2012.Evelyn was born and raised in Gueydan, LA. She and her late husband, Calvin N. Hall, lived and raised their family in Lake Charles for many years.She was a homemaker who loved cooking, gardening and sewing. She was a long time member of Sale Street Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and prepared delicious foods for many banquets at the church. In her later years she and Calvin traveled throughout the United States and southern Canada with Campers on Mission. She was devoted to her faith and family.Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin N. Hall.She is survived by her 3 children, Cindy Rogers and husband, Jim, of Lake Wales, FL, Donna Weber and her husband, Sam, of Suffolk, VA and Calvin L. Hall of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren; Tommy Tulley, Clay Rogers, Caleb Waldmeier, Anna Waldmeier, Austin Hall, Julia Weber and Ryan Hall; 4 great grandchildren; Maddy, Jack and Tess Tulley and Isabelle Waldmeier.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Randy Edwards and Rev. Ernest Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service in the funeral home.
