Evelyn Mcquiston

Evelyn Margarite Rouzano McQuiston, 81, died peacefully in her residence on Saturday, February 16, 2013.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Albert and Margarite Rouzano, Mrs. McQuiston lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary McQuiston of Lake Charles, Linda Verplank and husband Dave of Lebanon, TN and Robert James Jimmy McQuiston of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Jessica Adams and husband Michael, Justin McQuiston and wife Cayla, Tiffany Bond, Courtney Dillard, Brittany Smelcer, Ashley Verplank, Taylor Filo and wife Mary Anne and Shannon Filo, all of Lake Charles; and great-grandchildren, Max and Janet Grace Adams, Thatcher and Owen Bond, Miles Smelcer and Emily, Cate, and Molly Filo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. McQuiston.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Msgr. Jace Eskind and Msgr. Harry Greig will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM.
